Brief: The client wanted her hallway to have wow factor. She liked the idea of black and white, and wanted to nod to the Edwardian era. The client wanted to keep the the tiled floor, radiator cover and the staircase.
I decided to run with the black and white theme but to incorporate warm, natural tones which would connect the space with the wooden floor running throughout the rest of the house. The jute stair runner softens the space, whilst the injection of emerald green ties the hallway in with the green marbled WC.
The front door was painted black to tie in with the black of the staircase and play on Edwardian elements.
The Nina Campbell wallpaper successfully marries modern with traditional and adds both glamour and grandeur to the space.
